Coaching in Russia 04.07.2007
Coaching in Russia is a pretty new trend compared to business training or consulting which became a part of Russian business culture in 1990′es.
When coaching was first brought to Russia in the end of 1990′es by mostly foreign trainers people could hardly understand what it was. There were no books on coaching available in Russian and the whole concept was far from being understood. Now more then 30 books on coaching are translated to Russian or written by Russian authours. There are more then 25 coach-training centers and companies open in the country and very year Russians can enjoy workshops and seminars conducted by the leading international coaches such as John Whitmore, Myles Downey, Edouard Stacke, Marcia Reynolds etc.
In 2006 the group of leading Russian coaches and coaching schools initiated the process of creating Professional Association of Russian Speaking Coaches (PARC) - informal non-commercial project established to unite Russian-speaking specialists in coaching who work all over the world.
